Tremirie was created on April 25th, 2007. It was created as a platform to showcase my development and progress in graphics design and traditional art, and also to simply display the work from the hobbies I mostly enjoy. The name was originally meant to be Irie but was immediately changed to Tremirie which seemed more suitable. Tre-M-Irie is basically three words that were shortened and joined together to take on the meaning of We're cool or We're alright. "We're" refers to myself, my sister and my mother. To be more specific: the Tre in Tremirie is a shortened form for Tres in Spanish which means Three. The M represents the first letter in the name of myself, my sister and my mother. And Irie is a Trinidadian slang that basically means cool/alright/okay. There can be many different takes on the meaning but that's the one that I thought was most to the point.

Location: New York, USA
Skills: HTML, XHTML, CSS, Photoshop
Design Experience: 4+ years
I've always had a fascination for the arts. I've been involved in art since I could hold a pencil to paper basically. In my high school years, I was more involved in traditional art, taking part in many drawing and poetry competitions, and any other extra-curricular activities. Graphic design headed to the top of my favorite pastimes at the end of high school. I wanted to go beyond just traditional art and explore the world of digital art as well. Most of my knowledge of graphics and web design was self-taught and inspired by others within the commnunity. I still have a lot to learn and hope to expand my knowledge to limitless proportions.
